FAQ
Common questions
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes — all sessions are available via secure video call. Many clients find online therapy just as effective as in-person.
How long is a typical course of therapy?
This varies. Some clients find six to twelve sessions sufficient; others benefit from longer-term work. We'll discuss this openly from the outset.
What's the difference between counselling and psychotherapy?
In practice the terms overlap considerably. Counselling tends to be shorter-term and focused on a specific issue; psychotherapy typically involves deeper, longer-term exploration.
Are sessions confidential?
Yes. Everything discussed is confidential, with the usual legal and ethical exceptions relating to safety.
Which platforms do you use?
I use Microsoft teams to offer secure online sessions.
How often should I have therapy?
This depends on your personal circumstances, most clients start off with weekly sessions, but this is flexible and can change throughout therapy.
